Installing the desktop app

⚠️ These instructions cover how to install the Confidencial desktop app. While installing this app is strongly recommended, you can obtain most functionality via Confidencial’s web app.

1. Go to my.confidencial.io and log in

2. Click Install on the sidebar menu

   
3. Click on the appropriate download button, based on your operating system

   
4. Follow the instructions presented by the installer. After installation is complete, a page will appear with instructions for how to install Confidencial’s Microsoft Office add-ins.

✅ This completes installation of the Confidencial desktop app. You can now open the app by double-clicking its icon or by double-clicking a .c11 file.

➡️ If you use Microsoft Office, we strongly recommend installing our add-ins following installation of the desktop app

⚠️ If you are using Confidencial at work, you will likely need to have add-ins installed by your organization’s IT administrator
